Owner of Bancroft based Trips & Trails Adventure Outfitting, founding member of The Bancroft Broken Spokes Mountain Bike Club and Trips & Trails Nordic Ski Club, Clive Emery approaches his passions for cross country skiing, canoeing and mountain biking with a zest that is remarkable.
The Bancroft Broken Spokes Mountain Bike Club was formed 10 years ago with just 6 keen and dedicated youths who shared a common interest in mountain biking. Now the club has grown to a membership of 100, 50% of which is comprised of young people. Emery's focus has always been to promote the sport of mountain biking in whatever capacity a rider is comfortable with - from casual, softcore bike rides in the forest to hardcore single track designed to test the abilities of any rider.
Emery's passions for cross country skiing and his long association with Silent Lake Provincial Park embarked him on an 8 year commitment to manage the park during the fall/winter months and provide "Olympic caliber" cross country ski and skate ski trails to the thousands of skiers that come to park and surrounding area. 5 years ago, Emery introduced a mountain bike trail to the park and volunteered many hours, along with The Bancroft Broken Spokes Mountain Bike Club members, for the ongoing maintenance and trail clearing.
